Astro Bestie (the "App") is operated by Future Gen Sync LLC ("Astro Bestie", "we", "us", or "our"), a limited liability company registered in California, United States. This Privacy Policy applies to the Astro Bestie iOS application and the website at astrobestie.ai.

Information we collect
Information you provide during onboarding
To personalize your experience, the App asks for a few details. These are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers:
- First name or nickname
- Gender identity (optional)
- Date of birth and, optionally, time of birth
- Zodiac sign, relationship status, and content preferences
- Selected theme, app icon, mascot, and reminder settings
Information collected automatically
- Subscription data. If you purchase a subscription, Apple and our subscription partner RevenueCat process the transaction and share anonymous purchase identifiers with us so we can unlock premium features.
- Push notification tokens. If you opt in to notifications, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) provides a device token so we can deliver your daily quote.
- Diagnostics. If you opt in, iOS may share anonymous crash and performance data with Apple, which we may review through Apple's developer tools.
Information on the website
The website at astrobestie.ai is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes standard request logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and performance. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on the website.
How we use information
- Personalize daily quotes based on your zodiac profile
- Deliver reminders and notifications you opted in to
- Process subscription purchases and unlock premium features
- Fix crashes and improve reliability
- Protect the App from abuse and fraud
We do not use your personal details to train machine learning models, to serve advertising, or to profile you outside the App.
Legal bases (EEA and UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are your consent (for notifications and optional data), the performance of a contract (for subscriptions and core functionality), and our legitimate interests in keeping the App secure and reliable.
Sharing and service providers
We share limited information only with the providers we need to operate the App:
- Apple Inc. handles App Store purchases, receipt validation, and push notification delivery.
- RevenueCat, Inc. handles subscription management and entitlement verification.
- Cloudflare, Inc. handles website hosting, edge delivery, and security.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
Data retention
Onboarding details you provide are stored on your device and remain there until you delete the App or reset its data from within the Settings screen. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their respective policies and applicable tax and accounting laws.
Your choices and rights
- Reset local data. You can clear your onboarding profile at any time from the App's Settings screen, or by uninstalling the App.
- Notifications. You can disable push notifications from iOS Settings or from within the App.
- Subscriptions. Manage or cancel your subscription from your Apple ID settings in the App Store.
- Access, correction, deletion, portability. If you live in a jurisdiction with privacy rights (such as the EEA, UK, or California), you can contact us at [email protected] to exercise those rights. Because we do not hold an account for you, we may ask you to verify your request from the same device.
- Do Not Sell or Share (California). We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
Children's privacy
Astro Bestie is rated 9+ on the App Store and is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers operate in the United States and other countries. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect the limited data we handle, including TLS in transit, access controls, and minimal data collection by design. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
